Ensuring that all the relevant stakeholders are always on-board and equipped with the same information can often become a huge challenge. In the fast paced business environment, the smallest lapse in the relay of information can cause huge problems. The businesses are always looking to find ways to resolve the issue. Here, I would like to share my experience of a solution that has worked very well for me.
Simplify collaboration through Office 365 groups
At Communication Square, we deal with dozens of projects related to Microsoft communication and cloud solutions. We also offer different deployments, up-gradations, custom development of Skype for Business, Azure, CRM and Exchange services.
As a Project Manager, handling more than one project at a time can be a potential nightmare if your team member emails, client emails, content for the project, and meetings are scattered everywhere in your inbox, SharePoint and scheduler. However, with Office 365, it is now easier to coordinate with team members and clients. Likewise, you can distribute and even edit content, schedule meetings through groups with a shared Inbox, have a Calendar, a File storage and a Notebook, for all relevant stakeholders to not only access and see, but edit.
Creating Office 365 Groups
Creating Office 365 groups is simple. All you need to do is be a global admin to create a group from Office 365 Admin center. That doesn’t mean that regular users can’t create groups, but they have to do it from Outlook.
To create a group, the first step is selecting a unique name, in my case a project name, an email address, and select the group owner and all its members. That’s all and the groups is ready to use.
Office 365 group once created, is easy to use and manage. Emails from a particular client or a specific team, for a certain project can all be stored and found in one place. You don’t have to dig your inbox or SharePoint for content. To learn more about Office 365, please feel free to contact me at https://www.communicationsquare.com/contact/.
